Survey of Aquatic Macrophytes

The following provides a list of plants discussed in lecture, seen on field trips, and in the laboratory. Recognition features can be found in the keys, descriptions, and illustrations in your Godfrey and Wooten texts and in your class and field trip notes.

Free-floating or suspended in the water column:

Salvinia minima; Salvinia molesta

Bladders and trigger mechanism

Rooted (some unrooted) submerged plants:

Najas guadalupensis

Egeria densa (not yet covered or seen on field trips)
