Attendance in lecture is mandatory. You are responsible for course materials, reading assignments, and all announcements given in lecture. Make friends with a classmate so that you will have a contact in the event you must miss a lecture.

Grades are based on lecture examinations, and quizzes.

Examinations. Lecture examinations will be given in class.  Exams will be multiple choice and primarily based on material covered in lecture. You are required to bring a STUDENT ID and NUMBER 2 pencils to the exams.  You will need your LSU ID number this semester. Scantrons will be provided. No one will be permitted to start an exam after the first student has finished. See the Semester Schedule for EXAM dates. The Final exam will be given during Finals Week as scheduled.  The location will be announced around Thanksgiving.

Missed Examinations. Students will be permitted to make up missed exams with a significant, documented excuse (generally health related, see LSU Policy Statement 22), which should be submitted to me by 48 hrs before the exam. Requests for make up exams made after the scheduled exam will only be granted for extreme emergencies. You must contact me to request a makeup exam by no later than 48 hours after the time the exam is given or you will receive a grade of zero. Makeup exam may include short answer/essay questions as well as multiple-choice questions.
