Spotteddog Interactive BioStudio:Genetics

Try the second exercise to WIN

Hungry tapioca pudding lovers made a donation to the Cassava Growers Foundation to speed Cassava genetics research in the selection of only short plants with spotted leaves. Short plants do not blow down in storms. Spotted leaves produce a sweeter tasting tapioca.

In Cassava plants, short plants (t) are
recessive to tall (T) plants and spotted-leafed plants (s) are recessive to non-spotted-leafed plants (S). If a plant with genotype Ttss is crossed with a plant with ttSs genotype, what percentage of the offspring will be short plants with spotted leaves? Assume the two genes are unlinked (show independent assortment)
