        1. A 500 word statement as an attachment in Microsoft Word covering the following:
              - What your career goals are?
              - What contributions could you make to the laboratory group in which you work?
              - Why you believe you will benefit from a research experience?
              - A brief outline of your potential summer project.

        2. Two letters of recommendation from LSU science faculty members:
              - One of these must be from your proposed mentor
              - These should be EMAILED directly from the faculty member to Sheri Wischusen
