Complexes
This research focuses on characterizing the complex sizes formed
by BEAF 32A and BEAF 32B expressed in E. coli and BEAF from
Drosophila nuclear extracts. BEAF 32A and BEAF 32B were overexpressed
separately in E. coli and partially purified for analysis via
size exclusion chromatography (Figure 1). Significant differences
between the complex size of bacterially-expressed protein versus
that in nuclear extracts may indicate that other proteins are
involved in BEAF complex formation in flies.
