The Protein Facility is equipped with the following services:

  • PEPTIDE SYNTHESIS using solid-phase Fmoc chemistry on a MilliGen 9050 PepSynthesizer.

  • HPLC PURIFICATION of peptides and proteins using C4 and C18 reverse-phase columns on Waters Delta Prep and 600 E systems.

  • AMINO ACID ANALYSIS of hydrolyzates using a Dionex AAA-Direct instrumentation.

  • CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORESIS on a Beckman P/ACE System 5510.

  • CIRCULAR DICHROISM studies of secondary structure on an Aviv Model 62DS spectrometer.

  • ANALYTICAL ULTRACENTRIFUGATION on a Beckman XL-A analytical ultracentrifuge for sedimentation equilibrium and sedimentation velocity studies.
