The Center has four stereomicroscopes; one Wild M7S, two Leica MZ7s, and a Zeiss SteREO Lumar.V12 fluorescence stereomicroscope. The Leica and Wild scopes are equipped with Diagnostic Instruments' Insight color CCD cameras for digital image capture and the Lumar will arrive with two Zeiss Axiocams, one capable of high resolution (5Mpixel) color imaging and the other capable of high speed (>60fps) capture. These microscopes are located in room 25.

Leica MZ7

  • 0.63x to 5x zoom
  • With 1x plano objective and 10x eyepieces, total magnification from 6.3x to 50x
  • Bright field, dark field, polarized light are available

Zeiss SteREO Lumar.V12

  • NeoLumar S 0.8x and 1.5x objectives
  • 6.4x to 150x actual viewing magnification
  • DAPI, eGFP, and CY3 filter sets
